Hi, I have a 2006 Subaru Impreza outback sport and for awhile now it dips super low at idle (the middle line between 1000 RPMs & 0) so I had replaced the battery & just recently replaced the alternator as well. It still does it & when it’s idling the interior lights dim the only way I can (sort of) combat this is by having my A/C on full blast anytime I come to a stop, if I do this it will rev itself up periodically to 1000 RPMs or just over.
I’m not sure what’s wrong with it since I already replaced the components I thought were the issue.
also, I have a sub and it worked at first in the car but a few months ago the sub went into protect mode & according to the user manual the reason it entered protect mode was that it’s receiving 9V or less. Luckily, next week I am going into a dealership to get a new Subaru but I kind of need this one to run until then & so I can trade it in.
