Hey guys!

This is my first post here. First, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has contributed. I’ve ended up back at this site countless times while looking for questions regarding my 2013 Outback Premium and the Gen 4s in general. I spent a good portion of my day searching for 15208AA15A oil filter, and during so, I found this Service Bulletin release from Subaru regarding their “Oil Drain Plug / Design Changes”. So I finally decided to create an account and give back to the community I’ve learned so much from.

Here is a direct link to the download from NHTSA.gov:
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10207172-0001.pdf (I’ve also included a full-length screenshot of the release below if you don’t want to download)

It has new part numbers for the drain plug, reason for change–and the main reason why I’m posting–definitive torque specs straight from Subaru.

One thing is that the listed numbers are specifically for the 2013-22 Outbacks/Legacys, but I thought this would still be the correct subforum to post this in. If I should change it, please let me know.

Thanks again!
