Hello to everyone. I think this is kind of beside the point 
I have a ’22 Ascent Onyx with factory sleepers. I am seriously considering getting a roof rack solution for transporting fly rods.
Ideally, I’d love to not have to break the rod between points on the move—or for the ride home
Most bar safe type solutions seem to indicate installation in full size pickup trucks. The one I saw on the Yakima site (link here) shows a mount on a Forester, but it’s clearly a half-length setup there (full length is 10′), which means rod failure
I’m speculating that a 10′ bar safe is just too long to use safely on my Ascent. Anyone else dealing with this? (pun intended somehow )
