There is no “port installed” remote engine start accessory for Subaru. The fob based remote start accessory is dealer install only for a number of years now as they want folks to use the build-in Starlink subscription based remote start with an app on the owner’s smartphone. If you are in New England where vehicles are passed to dealers via one of two distributors instead of SoA, there is certainly a chance that the Subaru accessory was port installed since they “do things differently” than SoA does in the rest of the country where vehicles ship to dealers directly from SoA.
If you have the Subaru fob based remote start accessory, I would think that it’s easily removable since it just plugs in physically and I would think that the sales code should be able to be disabled in the vehicle computer by the dealer, too.
