Auto Up-Down Driver Window Gremlins

My 2017’s driver window has developed gremlins. Beginning today, it didn’t want to roll down when I pressed the switch. No movement with a gentle push, no movement with the harder push for the auto-down. After several sharp jabs to the switch, I was able to roll down the window by holding the switch in the down position.

Getting the window back up was similarly interesting. Again, it took several jabs to the switch. Each jab raised the window about 2 to 3 inches. Repeated jabs got it all the way up. I went thru this bit twice before I decided to leave the window up.

I used the search function here to find out if others have had similar problems, and how they solved them The answer was yes and no to both the problem and solution. Some say that the door switch needs replacing. Others say that performing the “replaced battery” reset works, at least for a short while. Has anyone who had this problem got it worked out?

In case it matters, it has been over 110*F for 30 plus days here, and not getting under 90*F at night. The heat does weird things.👹

Many thanks.
