I purchased a new 2023 Ascent in Touring model three weeks ago on May 28, 2023. In the last four days, it has failed to start three times. Yesterday the local Subaru dealer discovered the battery was faulty and replaced it free of charge. They did a diagnosis and said the rest of the electrical system was fine. Today, the Ascent failed to restart, and we have been waiting a long time for a return call from the dealer.

Any idea what could be going on? Who can a person contact at Subaru headquarters to complain? At what point does a car that won’t start become a “lemon”?
