My 2019 had been squeaking and giving clunking type feedback through the steering wheel when making sharp left and right turns when cold. Doesn’t generally happen when the vehicle has been in use for a while. I can now add that to the terrible brakes and vibration/shuddering quite often that I don’t know if it’s the CVT or transfer case or what. All I know is a massive shudder is what happened when my first CVT bit the dust. This shuddering has been going on for quite a while and seems to be getting worse.
I have about 85,000 miles and the car is in the shop now and they say they completed the chain slip recall, which leads me to believe they didn’t do the test right or didn’t find anything wrong with my CVT. Also said they couldn’t reproduce the shudder. I’m wondering if they completed the recall before even road testing for the issue I described and now they have masked that problem. I don’t have confidence they fixed anything.
If anyone has any insight on the squeaking/clunking or the shuddering while driving issue, please fill me in on what was done for your vehicle.
