Last week I hit park speed a little faster than usual in my 2020 Touring (22km) and heard a loud POP in the front right. My first thought was a flat tire, but the TPMS didn’t show any pressure loss. Then I started hearing a creaking noise when going over rough pavement and sometimes when turning. I took it to our friendly local Subaru service department on Friday. They replaced the right front tie rod and sway bar. So far it seems to have fixed the problem.
I was a little surprised at the damage since I wasn’t going that fast. I thought the tire would go well in front of the bars.

But after I got home on Friday, I realized a question I should have asked when I was at the service department: Do the belts need to be replaced in pairs?
