There are many failing head units (navaria and radio), manufactured by Harmon Karden are going bad. The units were not properly sealed during manufacture and you will probably see what look like dry moisture rings on the back of the screen. Then the navigation system will be upset, change the screen, vibrate, remove the navigation destination or simply give you a new destination. It’s basically worthless. My dealer has had a number of these failures, (including mine) and I have been told they have over a thousand bad nav systems and have been told it will take over 6 months to get a replacement (if that even happens ). It’s amazing how little Subaru will do about this issue. This is clearly a manufacturing issue and should be a free replacement. In the meantime, you can just use WAZE, which is actually a much better navigation system anyway – just not the big screen.
