Maintenance schedule question | Subaru Outback Forums

I live in SW PA, ie the rust belt, and I’m not sure if I should switch to the heavy schedule. And if I do, double the maintenance would it still be covered under the package I bought when I bought the car? What do you think about maintenance schedules? Thank you in advance.

IMO, where someone lives is much less important than how they drive and the trips they primarily take.

Heavy duty – Towing, short trips where neither the oil nor the coolant gets up to temperature, stop and go, etc.
Regular schedule – Face heavy schedule

I ‘solved’ this dilemma by just using heavy timing, especially since my trips tend to be at least 20 miles (time for the engine and oil to get up to temperature) and I don’t do all that many miles in a year .
