For those of you into monitoring CVT temps while towing, I have confirmed that the CVT temp reading on ActiveOBD is correct.
So for those of you towing, if you have one of the few specific OBD dongles that work with ActiveOBD and an Android phone, you can monitor your CVT temperature when towing.
This works with Android and ActiveOBD. And, no, the cheap ones don’t work with ActiveOBD, even if they do with Torque for Android.

I have confirmed with Mike from @COBB Tuning that AccessPort v3 for Ascent reports CVT temps accurately.
PS: I love that the picture of the Ascent on AccessPort is an MGM with a roof rack like mine. Totally random, but really cool (to me and other MGM owners).
