Observation
There are three options to connect iPhone when it is paired
Bluetooth
CarPlay
(forgot the 3rd one)
On my 2024 Limited it defaulted to CarPlay and phone calls and messages are controlled by the iPhone and Siri
if you change the connection to Bluetooth you lose CarPlay and Subaru controls phone calls and messages.
I am still trying to figure out how to display messages via CarPlay
Seems on one site you press the talk button and say “read message”
Haven’t tried this yet
Pressing the talk button and saying “send a message to xxxxx” works but viewing what you sent is sill a mystery
