This may unfortunately be your problem. That two years late (from the promised delivery date), super buggy release, is still being tweaked, as of hour previously, to fix a number of problems.
I don’t suggest leaving the preview program because you may not be able to get back in for weeks or months (I can’t get back into it even with emails telling me I can), but if you have another phone where I can use a different Gmail account and install a non-Coolwalk version, I would suggest giving it a try.
Otherwise, a bunch of updates and changes are expected in the coming days/weeks, if you can bear it.
