Howdy!
I was a Toyota owner and I am a first-time Subaru owner now. So far so good. I am missing the hybrid things but it’s okay
A year after the baby born we needed the upgrade to accommodate 3 of us for hiking and camping in the Smokies and beaching around here. So, I didn’t want to lose normal car handling – I don’t like wobbling things on large SUVs. Also, we don’t need so much space and gasoline consumption.
I ended up buying the Subaru Outback a couple of weeks ago rather than the Highlander (passive and active safety features were one of my top priorities). I bought 2024 Sub Outback Touring XT, ext and int colors I wanted, 10% below MSRP in Florida (the car was in stock). CarEdge data insights and advice helped me a lot 😊 Their bargain advice – was very helpful and straightforward 👍 Of course I fought a lot during 4 days with multiple dealerships around 5 states for the best OTD prices but it was all worth it! Good luck everyone to find the-best-deal-of-the-year if you’re on the market right now!
I am going to sell my 7-year-old Toyota Prius in a couple of weeks for $12-14k (market analysis) and I am done with Toyota before they change their “bad habits” (price vs. quality)!

I already bought and installed OEM door edge protectors and rear door sunshades. Going to install an aftermarket engine, CVT, and rear differential skid plates and radiator screen protectors (@Scarlett?) if I will not be void of the factory warranty. Any advice is welcome!
I am not happy with the factory default tires (kinda noisy) but… probably keep them because I have paid for wheels and tires “insurance” by Subaru.
P.S. Thank you so much for the great forum and the community!
