We have a 2019 Subaru Ascent. We noticed a knocking or knocking noise within the first 500 miles of driving on rough or uneven roads such as pavement. We brought our car to the Service Department where the car was purchased. They could also listen to it in a rehearsal. Our ride was checked and the mechanic found no problems with the suspension! We left very frustrated with the noise still going on!! We took our Ascent to another dealership and they were very willing to fix the problem. Testing was done with the mechanic and he could hear the noise. What they found were very worn brakes and rotors after only 3,000 miles on our car. Front brakes and rotors were replaced. We were asked to see if the noise would go away after driving a few more miles, but no, the noise came back. We are going to bring our car back and push for new belts and bushings.. …. based on what I have read from this forum I think this is the problem. will see.
The dealerships we use now seem more willing to put an end to the problem. I pray we do.
I traded in my lovely Forester for my Ascent. I have had no problems with the Forester and felt it was a very reliable car. I hope my Ascent will be in the same category soon.
We will be happy to hear your thoughts
