Gen 6 – Recall 6th gen headlights

Is there a recall on the outback headlights yet? My 2021 Outback Onyx Edition XT headlights are way too bright. It’s a safety risk to oncoming drivers. I also believe it’s a personal security risk to me and all Outback drivers when very angry drivers react to what they think is just somebody being a jerk. I get flashed repeatedly while driving at night. I’ve even had oncoming drivers blare their horn at me. The correct fix to this problem is to replace the headlight assembly with lower intensity LEDs. Aiming the lights downward as I’ve read in other posts is not a fix. The high beams and low beams use the same intensity LED. The switch between high and low beams does not change the intensity or brightness. It merely activates a motor that moves a metal plate. The plate acts as a shutter that changes the angle the lights shine so you have a broader field of vision. The the intensity of the lights don’t change. We are essentially driving around with our high beams on all the time even when the high beams are not activated. No wonder oncoming drivers are flashing their high beams and getting angry. This needs to be properly fixed through a recall.
