Falken Wildpeak AT Trail – Honeymoon is over

I am sharing this because I was a big proponent of these tires when new, and may have helped convince some people to buy them. I am now warning you not to buy them.

I have about 25,000 miles on these tires, and they are at 7/32″. They won’t make 65,000 miles. It doesn’t matter though, because they are useless at this point.

When new, they were grippy, quiet, and handled rain, dry and snow well.

Now, they are loud, lose grip in the slightest rain or wet, hydroplane easily, and I am not even going to consider them in the snow.

I am looking at warranty options, as I am past the 3/32 full replacement warranty (but still under 2 years) but don’t really want another set of these. Let’s see where it goes. My dealer is willing to help, but I fear Falken won’t play ball.

Anyway, that is my struggle. I am now saying AVOID. They simply don’t hold up. I’ll be back to the “main” brands after this.
