I have the same problem and read chapter 4, nothing in it about this situation.
mtberman,
you mean it will save your settings after you shut down the system. Mine doesn’t have. Whenever I turn on the fan, the AUTO mode starts with the A/C on. Then every time we turn off the air conditioner and then the only way to get it out of AUTO mode is to press the air recirculation off/on button.
Also, if we don’t turn the A/C off, it always runs even if I set the temp selector up to 80 and it’s 55 outside.
EDIT…mtberman, after re-reading your post, I think you are saying that the system will save my settings until I turn it off. Then it goes back to AUTO with the A/C on and then I can reset it again…and again…and again, for the next 10 or so years.
This is my first car with anything AUTO and I don’t like most of the AUTO features. I turn on the air conditioner when I don’t want to. The audio section activates Pandora when I don’t want it to. The audio section automatically switches from Stitcher to the music player in the middle of listening to Stitcher. The music player automatically turns on 30 seconds after I turn it off. Yelp won’t close after stopping it too many times…Oh, and yes, I read the audio chapter of the manual.
OK. Fight over me. I apologize for being off topic.
But I like the automatic cruise control by sight.
