Check Engine Intermittent (MIL), loss of power and no power steering

I have come to you with a plea for help.
My 2019 Ascent Touring (51k miles) has a problem where it will intermittently throw on (and certainly never when the dealer has it) the check engine lights.

Symptoms (level 1):

  • Loss of power steering
  • All EyeSight/telematics stop working
  • Brake indicator
  • ABS indicator

Level 2:

  • Loss of power, drowsiness
  • It won’t go above 30-35 mph
  • A/T temperature warning

Level 1 will happen, then after a few miles of driving, level 2 will begin. this has happened 2 times now, and the second time i stopped at an Auto Zone to retrieve the codes (i have them for symptoms L1 and L2 – don’t have the report right now). Took it to the dealer, they said “thanks for the codes, we deleted them and can’t reproduce them. Return it when it does it again.”

I bought a BlueDriver and a few days ago and managed to get the L1 codes (attached). After clearing them I got another report (no light this time) with code C1231 for “WIRE WHEEL SPEED SYSTEM INCREASED/QUICK ENTRY CONFIRMED”

So my questions:

  1. Has anyone seen/heard of a similar problem?
  2. Could the speed sensor be causing all this havoc?
  3. The best way to diagnose?

YOU!
