Seems like a clock-spring issue with the ‘source’ button wire then. BUT I’d try to replicate the behavior to see if it changes to other sources. Electronic components many times have weird inner workings, like if you mute the stereo, it might un-mute itself after ‘x’ time passes on and change the source. Now mute the radio, and see if the system un-mutes itself to the next source. If that happens, then it’d be a quirk, but not a problem. Also time how long it takes for that to happen. If you just muted a source, and then you move the steering wheel, and that behavior happens, then it’d be obvious there’s a problem. But if always happens at the same elapsed time, that’d tell you something. But better for you to understand exactly what’s happening, than just throwing the car at a dealer, which will have no ideal what’s happening, and will want to drive your car everywhere trying to find a pattern.
