Forester has less space and much shorter gear for articulation. It is also already raised, while the Ascension has not been removed.
When you lift a car with springs, coils etc, the suspension articulates normally. So at the raised height, it just articulates the same distances away from things as it would if the suspension were traveling normally from road conditions.
With stem/shock spacers, it’s a little different because you lower the top “link” by an inch or so (the height of the stem/shock spacer). The scope/strike rotates in its mount. This assembly lowers.
So for those that spring up, the articulation doesn’t change. For coil lifters, it doesn’t change. It’s just… articulate, if that makes sense.
