Just bought my fourth Subaru Outback and within 850 miles the check engine light came on, AT light came on, and RAB light came on. Car had to be towed to dealer as it seems wheels were locked. Dealer just called that they found an transmission code and they will need to replace the transmission. I have read other instances where this has happened. My questions are.. the dealer said that they will put a new transmission ( i will ask for it to be in writing), I am asking for a free extended powertrain (are there cases where this was denied?), are these issues coming more frequently on the 2024 model (my other models were 2013, 2016, and 2019)?
