I have a 2021 Outback with a power liftgate. We are planning a cross country trip for next summer (2024) and have purchased a tent that will attach to the back of the lift gate. If I leave the manual liftgate open (no power) will it drain the battery with all the interior lights in the off position? Thank you in advance!
Unless someone else has done this exact same thing, I don’t see how anyone can know if this will drain the battery.
You wouldn’t want to try this, leave the battery, and your only reaction would be, “A stranger on the internet said that wouldn’t happen.”
IMO, the smart approach is to bring a jump box, eg Click Here, in case it drains the battery.
