My wife and I just purchased a brand new 2023 OBW direct from the factory. The first thing I want to do is add a ceramic tint to all the windows to help with the summer heat here in Utah. I was planning on adding a clear tint to the windshield as well, but I’ve just read a bunch of stuff that says windshields are extremely prone to cracking, sometimes with little to no impact. I’m not really sure I want to spend the money to add the color only to have to replace the windshield in a few months.
Has anyone here experienced ongoing problems with their windows? Most of the posts/websites I’ve seen are around Fall 2022, so some similar model years, but I can’t find anything that says Subaru has made any changes to fix the issues in recent months.
If you had problems with the OEM windshield and switched to aftermarket, are there any reliable brands to look for?
