The only official thing, other than the owner’s manual, would be an article in the February 2023 TechTIPS newsletter, which I still haven’t found for free, so I haven’t read it – the article is titled “Wilderness (Outback/Forester) & Outback Onyx XT Model 5 Wheel Tire Rotation”
I would guess the change came in with the wilderness model, not with the 2023 refresh. Subaru likes to sneak things in year by year and not tell anybody, or barely mention it in passing. Like the larger clock/temp display from 2015 to 2016.
