A rock hit my windshield and I had to get it replaced. My insurance sent me to Safelite who told me I had to come in to get it replaced due to recalibration. When I get there, they can’t recalibrate because of the mono camera. So they replaced windshield with OEM and I brought it to the dealership for recalibration. They tried to recalibrate but said they weren’t able to because the camera may have been damaged when the windshield was replaced. Now I need a new camera. Hoping it is warrantied or covered by insurance.
I am wondering if I should have just brought it to the dealership for the windshield replacement.
Anyone else have similar issues?
