Why does the RPM needle jump?

Great questions, everyone.

Well, for starters… I put about 2000 miles on the car in three days and umm.. I drive fast. Hondas are fast and the hills choke you 😎(MARYLAND. UGGGH)

Anyway. So this seems to have happened over 65. And it stopped, just like that……..

I think I got it, the rear tires are a little lower than I thought they were more even with the front. So I think something in “This is one of those cars that’s kind of AWD even when the fuse says it’s not” probably got really hot. I decided to put the FWD fuse back in as I was a bit surprised at how much further the rears are down than the fronts. All the same tires and model and psi just different tread depth in the rear….

So again it comes and goes maybe? I could control the scan tool.. at first I was thinking gas but I kept my foot on the floor going up hills. It seems that sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t.

Random questions…
Does it vibrate when you are stopped and the engine is idling? Does it make it stop with the brakes on and you drive through the gears? Does it matter if the air conditioner is on? Does it only do it in a certain speed range? Does it smooth out after you hit the gas in park?

That was a good chunk of questions lol.

Does it vibrate when you are stopped and the engine is idling? – Hmm. I don’t think so, but I’ll check. I didn’t notice it or it didn’t catch my eye, so at the moment I’m going with no.

Does it make it stop with the brakes on and you drive through the gears? – hmm. I haven’t done this in a while. Thankfully I have nice smooth transitions from “N” to both “R” and “D” strings….so. I will say No…

Does it matter if the AC is on? Of course. It makes the air nice and fresh. And it conditions the air. I am partial to cold air. I have high functioning autism and I don’t do well in extreme heat… :p
Are you wondering if it affects the RPM needle jump? (lmfao)…
I will say no for now….

Does it only do it in a certain speed range? – YES, on the highway over 65 and the speed sometimes does too. And sometimes he just stops dancing and acts normal.

Does it smooth out after you hit the gas in park? – You never do it in the park.

To be clear. My transmission beats pretty well but it’s a 4EAT so. That’s why my trans fluid looks like this as of this morning.. haven’t noticed yet. There might be a slight shift lag that I don’t know about.. Diff fluid? Trans juice??
