While my Express 2021 Outback was being serviced for an oil/filter change and the tires were being rotated, I asked my service technician if there was any way to lubricate the wheel bearings. I informed him that I had to replace the wheel bearings on my 2011 Outback for the second time last week, and he replied that the wheel bearings have been one of the “trouble spots” with the Outback. Maybe I’m just old school, but it would seem if they knew it was a problem, why isn’t someone at Subaru trying to improve this known weak part that requires frequent replacement? I’ve driven an 84, a 92 (still have) and a 97 Volvo, all over 300-500k miles and never had wheel bearing replacements, but 2 complete ones on my 2011 at 143k. Any suggestions or just write to our factory in Lafayette IN?
