I’m new to the forum, not to owning an Ascent. 2020 Ascent Premium, btw. Got ours at the beginning of last year and I love my sweet ride.
I’ve been having issues with the music for at least 6 months. The two front USB ports work, but when I have a USB drive plugged in, 2/3 times, it starts over at the beginning of my list, turns off shuffle, and turns on repeat. Sometimes, it’ll keep the song I was playing, but turn shuffle off, and sometimes nothing’s changed. Also, the speakers pop occasionally and randomly.
When I plug a phone in to charge in the front, it’ll switch between the USB drive and the phone charging, two or three times, and not always right after plugging the phone in.
I’ve taken her in three times for this now, and each time, it’s “fixed” for a little while, but acts up again, slowly. I’ve been able to duplicate these issues for the electrical boss, and he told me I’ve joined the radio issues club where it may take 5 or more visits to fix it!
We’ve replaced the entire stereo (including fixing my bumper because they dinged it up when I brought her to be evaluated) and relieved the stereo USB wires.
Personally, I’ve tried different USB drives, removed wav files from my song list (no idea how they got there), adjusted the songs on my list, reformatted the USB drive to default, and even tried them in different Subaru vehicles, which did work fine.
Has anyone had these issues, and if so, have you successfully gotten them repaired? She’s got less than 20k miles on her, so I’m frustrated that such a new car is having such issues.
