TSB 09-106-23: (2019-2023) Exhaust manifold design change (welding changes) to address some cracking

Applies to 2019-2023 Climbs (See VIN note below – not all 2023s affected).

If yours is cracked, replacement is covered by either the Basic New Car Warranty (3 years/36,000 miles) or Subaru Added Security Gold if you’ve opted for it, or Federal Emissions Prolonged defect Collateral (I THINK 8 years/80,000 miles – but check your Warranty and Maintenance Booklet to confirm).

This design change has been incorporated into 2023 Ascents since the inception of VIN P3409668.
Every Ascent built after that VIN already has the new design.

If the weld is not cracked, it is not replaced under warranty (assuming one of the warranty periods is still in effect).
