Tow trucks and AWD vehicles and flatbed trailers only

there was a member selling stickers that said, only flat bed or tower pays to fix this AWD vehicle.

I think you could write it on a piece of paper and leave it on the dashboard.

if you need to move it:

get a Uhaul pickup that pulls a Uhaul “hauler” trailer. NO dolls.
($45 for trailer, $20 for pickup, plus local gas and miles = $75-$80 maybe)

_____

however many threads on this topic. Locally I have talked to guys who have owned garages for 40 years and suggested they could haul anything low and slow a few miles to get to them.

and then others with major towing companies who said they would never tow a 4WD / AWD vehicle without a flat bed.
maybe far enough to open a freeway, but it would always wait for a flatbed to take it. that guy said they rarely use dolly wheels on hook/fork trucks. maybe pulling off a private driveway on a sunny day as it takes too long.

I wish I had pictures or video, but last year I was looking at things at an auto auction yard and a flatbed fell out.

had a 2003 era chord on the flatbed and a 2003 era forester on the forks. = rear wheels turning the front as symmetrical AWD should. (the guy didn’t tie the wheels so that wouldn’t happen).
…I didn’t call the Subaru cops. just sad that the deal wasn’t down on the forks where it belonged. future buyer may need to adjust some torque links. (not the end of the world).
