Time to replace the control arm? (Yes, most likely)

replace the entire arm. MEVOTECH makes one that comes with new ball joints and is currently $65.79 each at rock machine

btw AIR MEDIA and HEAT ARE YOUR FRIEND

passenger side will be a PITB to do

this is what i did to make my life easier

1. Lifting and supporting the car with jack
2. remove the front wheels
3. remove the axle nut
4. chain castle nut
5. Use ball joint compression to tighten and hammer to pop it out
6. remove the shaft from the center and hang it to the side. use a center punch and a hammer on the hole to pop it out
6. Heat the joint where the lightning bolt is located
7. Remove the pointed bolt and use a chisel to spread the wrist
8 using a hair hammer rotate the ball joint holding the hammer at a slight downward angle
9. Once you have a gap between the lip and the finger, pull it out
10. Clean the inside of the joint to remove rust with an emery cloth
11. remove the front bolts on the control arm. this will come out easy as it is before most of the wheel spatter. just reinsert the bolt
12. Remove the rear bolt, as it is most likely caught in the bushings (passenger side), you will need to remove the top nut and heat the top of the bolt until it is red hot
13 using the air hammer and suitable impact socket, rock the bolt back and forth until the rust bond is broken. As soon as it blooms, the bolt falls out.

when installing the new control arm use anti-seize on
the shaft of the bolt is pointed, not the threads
the ball joint area that goes to the wrist
front and rear bolt shaft, not threads

ironically when i did the drivers side as soon as i removed the nut from the rear bolt it fell right out. both control arms still had the mounting stickers on them so they were OEM new with the car
