Sorry if I’m repeating a thread or posting in the wrong place. I have 900 miles on my 23 Onyx XT. I tested the 3X on cloudy days, I didn’t notice the sun glare from the silver shape around the 11.6 nav/infotainment screen. The glare is very distracting and forget the sunroof! Also, I can’t read the HVAC controls on the touch screen so I have to pull over to turn on the A/C etc when the sun is out. This is a problem about 20% of the time I drive, which seems excessive.
Molding (Instrument Panel Molding Part Number: 66077AN81A) is available for Wilderness. Replacing it requires disassembling a large part of the dashboard to access the screws, and I can’t find instructions. I read the Fosgate instructions, they were not very clear.
Any ideas other than trading it to a desert ($$) or paying vendors ($) to do so? I really don’t want to do this on a new $41k car. The dealership just shrugged. “wear sunglasses” i do.
The location of the molding is highlighted in the attachment, the part number is for the entire die with the mold as they do not come separately.
