Today I noticed that the steering wheel’s straight resting position is a few degrees off of centre. My wife hasn’t hit anything and the handling/tracking is otherwise totally fine (it’s actually fantastic and makes my OBW feel downright sloppy by comparison, but that’s completely expected).
My wife loves the vehicle and didn’t notice the wheel at all in the 3k km she’s put on it.
When it comes to car repair I’m reluctant to have people messing around unless it’s something that needs addressing.
Is a slightly off-centre wheel definitely indicative of other alignment or suspension issues? Or is it purely a minor issue, and having it corrected comes along with the risk of a careless technician possibly making things worse?
I ask here, rather than the Crosstrek forums, because of the exceptional community that’s proven to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks!
