Sorry to bring this up again, but I can’t reply to the old thread, as I may not get a response…as mentioned.
I have a 2020 OB Touring XT with 25k miles and wanted to do some preventative maintenance on it. I was looking for how to use CRC Intake Valve and Turbo Cleaner which I have used before on my NA cars. However, since this is a turbo, I don’t see how I can get the red straw out of the box to spray on the TB without removing the TB.
I read an older thread about this that people posted a service bulletin on how to do it, but on my TB there is no “port” to insert the hose/straw.
Has anyone done this procedure using CRC Cleaner?
If so, where do you insert the straw to spray the cleaner into the TB?
I’ve read where some say to add fuel additives, but that won’t help with a DI engine since the fuel is injected directly into the cylinder.
I’ve also read about AOS, which has it’s place, but before I install it I’d like to clean up as much as I can on the valves. I am not experiencing any problems, just want to be proactive about problems that can occur with higher mileage.
I’ve never had a Turbo vehicle or DI vehicle before so this is brand new to me.
Thanks, and yes, I will update my sign.
