RECALL: WRL-22 — PTC Heater Ground Lightning

Since first hearing about this recall, the park away from the structures has not made the solution enough it’s added to my head.
Avoiding leaving the vehicle unattended while driving makes more sense.

If I understand correctly, the ground in question is on a heater in the HVAC system that provides heat before the engine gets hot enough to blow hot air for the passengers. So wouldn’t this heater only work at the start of the drive, generally off at the end of the drive, and off when the car is off?
If that’s the case, it would be perfectly safe to park in your garage… just don’t start the car in or near your house in the unlikely event that it catches fire. I’ve been getting a chevy volt/bult-type vibe on a few threads around this memory so far and I think that might be a bit over the top.

Disclaimer: I’m just asking the question not advising you where to park.
