So I used X-Mode for the first time. I turned it on when driving a few miles on a steep downhill road in the San Francisco/Marin Headlands, north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Easy easy and safe. I had to use the regular brakes two or three times.
Is there a time limit on how long X-Mode can be used?
Has anyone driven down Old Priest Grade Road (near Moccasin, CA) on their way back from the Yosemite area to Hwy 120? I usually take that route when driving uphill, but I’ve never driven downhill. After using X-Mode once, it seems that the road is safely drivable with X-Mode activated, without the risk of overheating the brakes.
