I am now discovering these battery problems because Subaru won’t let you turn off your car. I’m not sure I would have committed to the Ascent as a camping/travel tool if I had known about this issue, but in other ways I’m very happy with the 2021 Limited.
I have been looking for solutions and so far have been wondering between the options of (1) correcting the rear key problem plus a faraday box for the fobs or (2) installing a battery disconnect switch.
