I actually just installed them a few months ago, but haven’t finished the wiring.
I have an ocd when it comes to wiring and wanted to keep the wiring in place without adding crimps and splices.
I was trying to get 4 or 5 different pin connectors so I could connect the wires to the connector, but there are so many different types of pin connectors out there that I never found the right one. I even ordered some that I thought looked the same but ended up being too big or just the wrong size when I received them.
I ended up ordering part # 81870XC01A, it’s a wire harness on the d/s door that connects the master switch to the rest of the harness. I figured I could cut the wires with the pin terminals on the end and make the wires that way. It took 4 months to get this part.
The power folding mirrors attach to the doors without a problem. It folds when you pick it up, so you just need to feed the 12v motors to open it.
All mirror components carry over, like the blind spot light and now have wiring for the heated mirrors.
I also got the turn signals for the mirror assy, you don’t need the mirror shell without the turn signal will transfer to the powered mirror assy. But if you get the turn signals then you will need to get the mirror cover for them as well and paint it, the cover only comes with primer. For the turn signals to work, it must be connected from the mirror to connector D84, which is located under the cockpit fuse panel from d/s.
I think I have all the wiring figured out, just a matter of actually doing it. It’s like 5 or 6 wires plus the wiring for the turn signals. I have the connectors and pin terminals if you need them. If you have any questions, let me know, I’ll try to answer them.
