Parking brake malfunction. Caught on fire.

Yesterday evening I had a scare.

Parked OB. Set the parking brake. Warning for visually impaired people appeared. The PARK light was flashing. Put the brake on, put it back on. Same thing. Tossed and settled for the third time. Same thing, and the brake light came on. Put it in neutral, stick my foot out and try to roll OB. P-Brake was set.

He left a few hours later. He hit the brakes. There are no lights. Stuck my foot while in Neutral and confirmed it was spinning. I left for my next destination. A cloud of smoke followed me into the parking lot. Behind the back wheel there were flames coming out of it. I put out the fire. This morning, I checked. The rotary is burnt. The ink is bubbling up.

2020 OB, with only 17,600 on the odometer. You have to have it towed to the dealer.

Someone talk me off the cliff. I no longer trust this car and am going to Toyota to look at the new Highlanders.
