I have a 5 mile stretch to the gig I’ve been going to lately. It’s a 25mph zone the entire stretch, so weather permitting, I’ve been riding my bike to and from. It’s a break from driving 8 to 10 hours through the day and I can do it in about the same time as with my motored rides. I actually get more leeway on my bike than if I were not. It’s like they expect you to be doing 40 if you are motorized.
There are still those who are just asking for me to catch them at a light and pull them out for an attitude adjustment when I’m on my bike though.
Warped heads – how many thou’ out of flat is it considered to have junked the heads?
If I recall, it was 2 or more.
I think the engines are the same between the 1 and 3 you speak of, it’s just trim on the car difference. I cold be wrong.
Are you sure the bubbling you originally saw was from the heads and not some other trapped air being purged? Is your coolant mixed at a ratio that prevents boiling? Usually in a cracked piston to coolant scenario the bubbles are from exhaust gas being pushed into the cooling system,, causing bubbles to be visible. Another sign of that is if you press the accelerator, the gauge will spike, and if you lay off the accelerator, the gauge will drop almost as fast. Have you checked for coolant mixing with oil yet?
