Hi, I was driving on the highway using cruise control at exactly 65 miles per hour.
I heard a continuous screeching sound coming underneath the central console at the halfway point of my destination, 35 miles away from my home.
When I was accelerating or letting go of the accelerator, the sound would go or appear.
I turned off the ventilation and radio to eliminate the other noise. Despite this, it was still present.
Then I put the transmission in neutral and the sound disappeared.
My girlfriend, who was next to me, was telling me that the sound was coming from under the transmission stick.
Went to Subaru and was not able to reproduce the sound. I informed them that I will record with my phone when it comes back.
I just want to find out if something like this happened, and what the solution was.
