I’ve been a Jeep guy for years and have always wanted an Outback since 2006. I’ve finally gotten to the point where I think an Outback will fit my family a little better than a Jeep. I’ve been out in the wilderness lately, watching videos and doing my research. I spoke to a seller in San Antonio, they sent me a video of what I was looking at. After work today I ran into town to talk to the salesman, a 2 hour drive one way, he didn’t seem too enthusiastic. My wife and I remain at his desk while he goes to find the vehicle we were talking about and I was ready to buy. We had passed at least half a dozen Outback Wilderness on the way to the showroom, parked with Monroney stickers still on the windows. So about 30 minutes after the salesman goes to pick up the vehicle we were talking about, he comes back with another unit. I was like the one you showed me in the video, he was like sold out. It would be good to know before you drive down that road. He goes on to tell us that virtually every Wilderness Outback trim has already been sold, they’re just waiting for people to come and get them. The unit we tested was sold, according to the seller, but they hadn’t put the keys in, so we went for an 8-mile test drive. Now I’m not naive and I understand they want to get you in the door, but come on. We made an appointment to come see a certain vehicle a few hours before I left and you have the nerve to drop the ball and not talk directly about the status of the vehicle. I think this is not the way to win a customer.
So with that little introduction, I’m still looking for an Outback in the desert and figured the forms would hold a good chunk of information for me.
We will be happy to hear your thoughts
