Lower generation 6 external | Subaru Outback Forums

You can definitely achieve your goal, the only thing missing now is Bilstein not making the B6 for the Gen6. I had a GOOD setup on my Gen5; B6, RSR springs, RSB 20mm, Strut tower bar, Perrin steering damper, CKE clutches and handles very well. That car had a lot more capable cars and I was coming from 15 years of Audis so my expectations are spot on.

I see there are Silvers Neo max coilovers available NEOMAX Coilovers Silver Subaru Outback (BT) 2020+

Updates:
Recently installed:

  • Perrin steering wheel supplier
  • Perrin stops on the pitch
  • Perrin pillar tower support (front)
  • Spin around with light fixtures
  • Perrin rotary alternator
  • Rear anti-roll bar and end links

Runs great now, handling well (tires are coming apart though). Good throttle response from a stop, smooth 0 – 40 mph delivery (not too slow like stock, more driveable) and I’m consistently getting almost 21 – 22 mpg in the city :) This must be due to the light chickens.

I am very happy with these mods, however, I feel vibration / hum / resonance in the gas pedal / in the cabin when idling (could be due to the light roll). Perrin mentions that their roll is not under steering and is done for 2022. Should I put the stock stamps back on? I’m worried if it will change any engine tuning and eventually fail something. I have also heard of fliuidampr. Any info on this?
