Different strokes for different folks. I know many will chide me for this, but I don’t like the hassle of new security features. Too many lights, too many audible sounds, I don’t like the car trying to keep me in the lane.

The only features I found worthwhile were the anti-collision (saved my ham once when I was in an OB loaner) and the adaptive crusie control.
That said … in the new 24 OB can these features be permanently disabled? I know that on some of the earlier models they can be disabled on every engine start, but this is annoying to do. I talked to a Subaru Corp online chat and the person said it might be disabled but I’m not so sure about that.
I would like to trade my 2013 OB for a new OB, but these features are stopping me from buying unless I can disable them permanently.
