How level should the Outback be for the CVT drain and fill?

Today I did a drain and fill on a 2017 2.5L Outback and measured the fluid that drained; it was close to 5.2 liters. Following the proper procedure, I ended up filling in 5.9 quarts of new CVT fluid.
I thought to myself, this 0.7 quart discrepancy probably came down to the vehicle “not being level enough”.

People talk about having the vehicle level, but no one thinks about how to do it; how close to perfect level it should be.

This CVT drain and fill at 62k miles is the first since it was purchased brand new and I find it hard to believe the vehicle had low CVT fluid to begin with.

I don’t know if I should remove the diff or not worry about it because it won’t end up causing problems down the road.

Any knowledge is appreciated,
