The hood on my wife’s 2011 Outback 2.5i Limited is no longer opening.
It has been acting a little problematic for a while now.
Last week I dropped it off for an oil change, and when I got home realized they had some how shut their hood strut clamp (the hood struts on it are dead) in between the hood and the body. I popped the hood, removed the clamp, and closed the hood.
Today I was going to clean the throttle body and when I went to pop the hood — now it it will not unlatch. The cable still appears to be attached to the lever under the dash, so guessing either that cable has some how stretched or that hood latch assembly has jammed/broken.
How can I get the hood open in the meantime?
