Have you parked on an incline, even enough to roll your car a little? Try the thing suggested in several threads here and other car forums, where you park it by doing:
– Foot brake on foot
– From the last shifter setting (Drive or Reverse), move the shifter to Neutral
– Pull the parking brake toggle switch
– Release the foot brake and let the car cool down (roll slightly downhill, putting on the handbrake)
– THEN push the shifter into park and turn off the engine

My garage is steep enough to let my car roll a bit, so I do this all the time. Morning changes are really easy and smooth. I don’t know the exact speeds, but it seems to be a way to not leave the car alone with tension in the transmission mechanics.
