Generation 5 – Tire noise on the 2018 Outback

Well, tire “squeal” (kind of a vague description, btw, you can try to be more specific), doesn’t seem to be a common complaint here. AWD vehicles tend to wear tires significantly faster and, IME, the overall ride quality of all tires degrades as the tread depth decreases – this is normal for any vehicle. By keeping proper inflation pressures, good alignment, and regular rotations, I’ve never had a problem running tires up to 2/32″. But I’ll swap them out early if winter is approaching and the depth is anywhere near And new tires are always a treat coming from tires that were relatively worn.
