I’m confused by the factory reset on my new OB Premium. I’ve been spoiled in the past by Android Auto and Carplay on aftermarket Pioneer NEX units. When I bought this machine, I assumed I would have to replace the factory setup with another NEX, but now I’m wondering if I really need to do that. The owner’s manual mentions mirrorlink, but I don’t see that option on my APPS screen. If I can get the mirrorlink working, maybe I can just keep the factory settings.
I tried installing mySubaru from the app store, but my VIN is currently registered to someone else – I’m waiting for it to update. Is a properly loaded and registered mySubaru app a prerequisite to use mirrorlink?
Does anyone have a modern android or iphone that works with factory settings?
